Installing New Fuel Pump

*

This install is very easy. Only takes about 15 minutes. The only issue may come with the plastic retainer piece. It can be a real pain in the ass. If you have the right tool, it won't be a problem. Otherwise, it's not hard... just annoying.

1) Remove carpet, spare tire, and anything else from the trunk.

2) Remove black tray. Pic

3) Unclip wire connector, remove bolt, and pull off all hoses. Note: When you remove the bolt, some gas may leak out. Also, there are two gaskets on the banjo fitting... DON'T LOSE THEM! Pic 1 Pic 2

4) Remove metal ring and plastic retainer.

5) Pull out fuel pump assembly. Pic

6) Undo the hose and wire clip and remove actual pump from assembly.

7) Put new pump on, connect hose and wire clip. Install in reverse order.

NOTE: Be careful when you buy used parts!! This pump turned out to be broken. I replaced it with a Walbro 341. *
